So this year’s WrestleMania main event was set a full year in advance. One day after WrestleMania 27, The Rock and John Cena took to the middle of the ring on RAW the next night and set the stage for this year’s main event. And while some people (myself included) haven’t really enjoyed a year-long build to this year’s Mania main event, I have a suspicious feeling that this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to long term booking.
I don’t do great at predictions, but I think I may have this one pegged. I’m… Continue reading
One month from today, the WWE will put on its largest pay per view of the year… WrestleMania! Miami, Florida hosts this year’s event and once again my basement will host the building of The Beeramid. And while the full card for the even isn’t set yet, there are quite a few matches that have been announced (or are highly rumored).
WWE Championship CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho – This match may very well be the best on the card, but honestly the lead up to it (thus far at least) has been complete crap in my opinion. When Chris… Continue reading
We’re a few days removed from the 2012 WWE Royal Rumble pay per view. As this is the official start to the Road To WrestleMania (and happens to be my favorite PPV of the year) this is one of the 2 shows per year I get (with Mania obviously being the other). There’s been quite a bit of bad press out there for this show and I really don’t get it. This was a very entertaining PPV from top to bottom.
Triple Threat Steel Cage match for the World Heavyweight Championship Daniel Bryan (c) defeated Big Show and Mark Henry… Continue reading
I don’t do predictions all that often (at least out loud) but I think I’ve got one that’s worthy of sharing. For months now, WWE fans (or at least “smart” fans) have been shouting from the rooftops for John Cena to turn heel.
As we all know, he’s headed into WrestleMania 28 to face The Rock and there’s simply no way in hell that Cena’s going to be the babyface in that match. The WWE has essentially turned John Cena into this generation’s Hulk Hogan. Dude never loses clean, trains like a bad ass, sells merchandise and has… Continue reading
WrestleMania XXVIII (28 for you non-Roman numeral folks out there) will take place on April 1, 2012 in Miami, Florida. For the 7th time, Pip and I (and for the second year in a row, my brother Marko too!) will once again try to “walk that isle” and build… The Beeramid.
Since WWE announced it’s Mania main event the day after last year’s show (Rock vs. John Cena for those not paying attention), I figured we’d better get going and put together rules of engagement for the evening’s festivities.
This year, we’re starting something a bit different. Moving… Continue reading
WrestleMania XXVII (27 for those not versed in Roman numerals) will take place on April 3rd, 2011. I’m thrilled to report that Pip and I will once again renew tradition and construct… The Beeramid. Just as in past years, we create a set of “rules” that will govern that evening’s events.
Without further adieu… it’s on.
- 5 drinks for a People’s Elbow
- 3 drinks for any unannounced legend that’s in attendance
- 5 drinks for any match that spills into the audience
- Finish beer for appearance of the The Ultimate Warrior or Macho Man
- 10 drinks if a legend wrestles… Continue reading

WrestleMania 28: Recap, Thoughts & Drinking Game Results
For those of you that are regular readers of the blog here and AREN’T wrestling fans don’t worry… this is the last wrestling related post for a while.
With that being said, WrestleMania 28 is officially in the books and it’s time for a recap and a look back at the show that was. As per usual we built our yearly Beeramid which was epic.
First off, I’ll say this was a FAR superior show compared to the last couple of years. I always enjoy WrestleMania weekend cause we turn it into an event, but I have to say the… Continue reading →
