At WrestleMania VI, it was announced that this event would be held at the LA Memorial Coliseum. Between WM VI and now, the venue was changed to the Sports Arena. According to the WWF at the time, this was due to some death threats that Slaughter had received. Other reports say it was due to slow ticket sales.
