For those of you that are regular readers of the blog here and AREN’T wrestling fans don’t worry… this is the last wrestling related post for a while.

With that being said, WrestleMania 28 is officially in the books and it’s time for a recap and a look back at the show that was.  As per usual we built our yearly Beeramid which was epic.

First off, I’ll say this was a FAR superior show compared to the last couple of years.  I always enjoy WrestleMania weekend cause we turn it into an event, but I have to say the… Continue reading

One month from today, the WWE will put on its largest pay per view of the year… WrestleMania!  Miami, Florida hosts this year’s event and once again my basement will host the building of The Beeramid.  And while the full card for the even isn’t set yet, there are quite a few matches that have been announced (or are highly rumored).

WWE Championship CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho – This match may very well be the best on the card, but honestly the lead up to it (thus far at least) has been complete crap in my opinion.  When Chris… Continue reading

We’re a few days removed from the 2012 WWE Royal Rumble pay per view.  As this is the official start to the Road To WrestleMania (and happens to be my favorite PPV of the year) this is one of the 2 shows per year I get (with Mania obviously being the other).  There’s been quite a bit of bad press out there for this show and I really don’t get it.  This was a very entertaining PPV from top to bottom.

WrestleMania XXVI is in the books and I have to say it was a very good offering overall.  Quite frankly this is the type of show I wish they had last year for the 25th anniversary.  It wasn’t anything mind blowing but it was a very solid event from top to bottom.

Showmiz vs. Morrison & RTruth – This was a decent opener.  I didn’t really surprise me that they kept the straps on Showmiz.  Once they lose, The Big Show has absolutely no program to work.  That said, it’s not going to be too long before Miz has fewer… Continue reading

Championships are part of the show in professional wrestling.  They don’t really tell who the best wrestler is.  They’re there as props or to move the storyline along.  I don’t get upset when my favorite wrestlers win or lose titles cause I know that’s not what it’s about.  That said, the WWE has made a decision recently that I simply cannot understand.

A couple of weeks back, relative newcomer Sheamus pulled an upset and defeated WWE Champion John Cena for the title.  I (like most WWE fans) gave an audible “huh” when this happened.  I’m all for giving young guys… Continue reading
