Event: WrestleMania VII Date: March 24, 1991 Venue: Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena (Los Angeles, California) Attendance: 16,158
At WrestleMania VI, it was announced that this event would be held at the LA Memorial Coliseum. Between WM VI and now, the venue was changed to the Sports Arena. According to the WWF at the time, this was due to some death threats that Slaughter had received. Other reports say it was due to slow ticket sales. Event: WrestleMania 2 Date: April 7, 1986 Venue: The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, New York, The Rosemont Horizon in Rosemont, Illinois, and The Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California Attendance: 40,085 (combined)
As you can see above, this is the first (and I believe only) WrestleMania event to come to us from different locations. Essentially we get 3 “main events” – one from each of the locations.
