I recently went on a quick trip to Vegas for work – in on Wednesday out on the “red-eye” on Friday evening. I picked this one up at the library after hearing about it on Kevin Smith’s Smodcast a while back. I’m kind of a trivia junkie so I figured I’d really enjoy this. Essentially (as the tile suggests) these are little nuggets of information that are pretty much universally thought of as “truth” when in reality they’re complete bullshit. It’s an interesting read if you enjoy tidbits of info such as:
- How many moons does the earth have? At least 7.

I’ve been hearing for years just how bad this movie is. It’s the butt of jokes and the director Kevin Smith talks about how bad it is. I’m a huge fan of Smith’s other works (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, etc.) so I really wanted to see this one to see if it was really as bad as everyone said it was. “Best Pictures” That Just Aren’t – The 1990′s
The most prestigious award that any movie can receive is the “Academy Award For Best Motion Picture” — The Oscar. Once a movie has this distinction it goes down in history as the “best” movie of that year. The red carpet at the Oscars is a huge event every year where all the stars turn out.
