We’re smack dab in the middle of the Road To WrestleMania. Ever since the Royal Rumble in January, the WWE has kicked it into high gear getting ready for their flagship show. I have to say that going into the Rumble I wasn’t overly optimistic about this year’s show. I recently got a new Verizon iPhone 4 for work purposes so I’m officially out of the Blackberry nation. I have to say that I enjoyed my Blackberry but now that I’m used to it this iPhone is just SO… MUCH… BETTER. There are a ton of iPhone reviews out there so I won’t bother going into it here. The biggest upgrade that I see from my Curve 2 is the camera. This thing is epic and takes awesome pictures. Here’s a couple of my recent random shots… enjoy.

WrestleMania XXVII (27 for those not versed in Roman numerals) will take place on April 3rd, 2011. I’m thrilled to report that Pip and I will once again renew tradition and construct… The Beeramid. Just as in past years, we create a set of “rules” that will govern that evening’s events.

It’s almost go time here on WrestleMania Sunday! Pip and I are giddy with optimism for the show this evening. We took it easy last night cause we know we’ve got a long road ahead of us this evening… The Beeramid is a formidable opponent but we’re confident that once again we’ll manage to take it down. We sat down last night and came to our final list of rules for this evening’s festivities.
Pizza… check
Wings… check
Snacks… check
Beer… check, check, check
It’s the Grandaddy of em all… WrestleMania time!
WrestleMania XXVI will take place on March 28th in Arizona. I’m happy to say that after working through some logistical issues, Pip and I will once again renew our Beeramid tradition! As with years past, we have created these “rules of engagement” which will help us to construct that glorious structure.
The last time Pip and I got together we came dangerously close to “one night one case” and I’m thinking March 28th just may be the night… time will tell. Let’s get it on!

One of the really crappy things about growing up is that people have a tendency to move away from one another and friendships are tested. It becomes hard work sometimes to maintain a friendship (though Facebook has made it easier to keep in touch). I’m happy to say that Pip and I have never had that problem.

I’m a big professional wrestling geek… have been for more years that I care to remember. If you’re a regular 406 reader you already know this. Pip and I get together every year and build the Beeramid based on that year’s drinking game. I often tell people that professional wrestling is a soap opera for guys but that’s probably giving it too much credit. Bottom line is after all of these years I still really enjoy watching it.
