In a previous post I talked about how I’d recently gone through some boxes in the basement and pulled out some old toys, specifically my Devastator from back in the day. That lead to a discussion on one of my favorite podcast’s Facebook page about our collections, etc. I took this quick video to show a couple of my items and thought I’d share it here as well.
It focuses on figures from the first 4 waves of the current G.I. Joe line called Pursuit of Cobra and also includes Voltron, Star Wars and Transformers toys. What’s in your collection?
Once you have that second child your alone time with either one of them starts to really be difficult to come by. Recently, the stars have aligned and I’ve gotten to hang out with my little man one on one. The rest of this post is just going to be some pictures and videos with my comments. If that sort of thing doesn’t interest you feel free to move along However, if you’re interested in seeing one cute kid continue!
G and his mom got last minute tickets the other night to Shrek The Musical so C and I… Continue reading
YouTube is an amazing website. As I’m not taking today off to partake in St. Patrick’s Day events like the rest of Cleveland, I was just going through a couple of my favorites and thought I’d share them. Enjoy!
I know I’m late to the Charlie Sheen game but this is nothing short of EPIC WINNING. In all honesty, the guys that put this together are SUPER talented.
One of the most inspirational speeches ever put onto film. And if you’ve never seen Braveheart you need to go out right now and rent it. Do yourself a favor.

In a previous post, I relayed a story about how G was turning into quite the little pimp. I’m here a couple of months later to let you know that he’s not slowed down at all… in fact he’s upped his game. BIG TIME.
Over the last couple of weeks, there have been a couple of examples of G showing his pimp hand but there were two in particular that stand out. First are from band night a couple of weeks back. One of the local PTA organizations was sponsoring a night where the kids and their parents could… Continue reading
It’s amazing what you can accomplish with a little bit of time on your hands.
I’m sure this is way old and everyone has seen this before, but I got this sent to me the other day via email and it once again struck a chord. This is a commercial that Budweiser aired during the 2002 Super Bowl just a few months after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. This commercial has only been aired once because Budweiser didn’t want to financially benefit from it. (Snopes article about the video)
I lived in Washington on that day so I remember very well what it was like. Just because we’re a few years removed from that… Continue reading
Me, not unlike other guys my age, grew up watching certain movies over and over and over again. Whenever they were on TV, no matter what point you caught them you would probably finish watching until the credits began to roll. One of these movies for me was “Clash of the Titans“. I remember that fondly as being my introduction to Greek mythology, which is something I’ve been fascinated with ever since. I even watched the movie (in it’s entirety) within the last couple months, and while the special effects are predictably outdated the story still holds a… Continue reading
It’s been a while since I’ve said a whole lot about the boys so I figured today was as good a day as any. A couple of weeks back we took our yearly trip to Naples, Florida. The wife went down about 10 days before I did and then I went down, spent a few days and then we all came back together. Normally we have GREAT weather but this year it was unseasonably cold in Florida and we only got one day in the pool. In fact other than that one day we had temperatures in the 50s every… Continue reading
I’m not a big country music fan but I was driving a couple of years back on a business trip with nothing else to listen to. I heard this song and when I got back to the hotel immediately purchased it from iTunes. I had the iPod on shuffle this evening and ran across it again. Nearly brought a tear to my eye… damn do I love my boys!

You Really Can’t Go Wrong With Some Kenny Loggins
I’ve said it time and time again… I’m a geek. 80′s movies are my wheelhouse ranging anywhere from science fiction to action movies to horror. Many times these movies come complete with some cheesy soundtrack and when we’re talking soundtracks no one does it better than the man… Kenny Loggins.
I’m Alright – Caddyshack (1980)
I can’t embed it here, but if you want THE edition of this song you’ve got to check it out here… the hair ALONE makes it all worth it: Kenny Loggins – I’m Alright (Live-HQ). If you’ve never seen Caddyshack… well, PLEASE… Continue reading →
