The Tops

Greetings fellow blogheads.  Johnny Provo here recklessly chucking his first blog on the 406 site.  Long overdue, I know.  I’m sure my much devoted fan club  (comprised in it’s entirety of Chewie and my mom) had all but given up hope of ever getting slapped upside the head with my boomstick of witty banter.  Well fear not, both of you, here I am to share with you my top ten list of all time movie villains.  Thank god I’ve already got a girlfriend who knows of my nerddom.  That being said, don’t tell her I posted this…

10. Delores Umbridge… Continue reading

It seems that Hollywood is all about the comic book movie these days.  Just this year alone we’ve been given Watchmen and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.  Unfortunately I haven’t had the opportunity to see either of these yet but I definitely will.  That said, here’s a list of my favorite comic book movies!

  1. The Crow (1994) – My favorite comic movie of all time.  So dark…  So creepy and it was relatively true to the book.  Rest in peace Brandon Lee.  You were on the cusp of greatness.
  2. X2: X-Men United (2003) – the intro scene alone was awesome but… Continue reading

WrestleMania 25 is just recently in the books.  It wasn’t great but there were a couple of REALLY good matches.  WrestleMania weekend for me always means going back and reliving some of those great matches from past events.  It’s rare that this list is modified, but thanks to the Dead Man and Mr. WrestleMania this year, it was.  Honorable mentions and The Top Ten are listed in order of occurrence (oldest to newest).  Keep in mind that this is MY list.  I’m sure there are those out there that will put some others in their top ten – I’m an… Continue reading

My favorite podcast, The Geek Savants recently did a show about guilty pleasure movies (I.E. bad movies that you love and will watch every time you run across them).  It was a great episode and really got me to thinking about some of my favorites.  That said, here’s my list!

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Legally Blonde (2001) – Reese Witherspoon plays Elle Woods, a stuck up blond girl from out California that follows her boyfriend to Harvard in an effort to get on his good side.  It’s a complete chick flick that I’ll watch ever time cause it’s funny as hell and… Continue reading

  1. Beer on St. Patrick’s Day is the same beer that you get any other day of the year.  It’s just green.  I don’t understand why if you’re not in college you would take a day off work to drink.  I guess I’m getting old.
  2. Bagpipes do NOT sound good.  Sorry to say but they do indeed sound like dying cats.
  3. Girls will take St. Patrick’s Day as an opportunity to dress slutty.  Apparently I need to read up on the history of  St. Patrick’s Day because I LOVE this part.
  4. People will look for the Irish pub they can find… Continue reading
