There’s recently been a hash tag topic on Twitter called #100FactsAboutMe. The idea is to tweet 100 facts about yourself (I suppose). One afternoon I decided that this would be a great idea cause let’s face it… people want to know all about Chewie. So… without further build up here’s my list:
- I’m part of the @clevelanddotcom Twitter Twenty! #CLE20
- I live in Cleveland but I’m a Steeler fan. In my defense, I grew up in Pittsburgh.
- I chewed tobacco for 17+ years. When I quit I started http://www.killthecan.org/ to help others quit.
- I’m adopted. So is my brother… Continue reading
Once you have that second child your alone time with either one of them starts to really be difficult to come by. Recently, the stars have aligned and I’ve gotten to hang out with my little man one on one. The rest of this post is just going to be some pictures and videos with my comments. If that sort of thing doesn’t interest you feel free to move along However, if you’re interested in seeing one cute kid continue!
G and his mom got last minute tickets the other night to Shrek The Musical so C and I… Continue reading
For the umpteenth year in a row, I’ve decided to go to Opening Day for my beloved Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field. (Man… it still sounds weird. It’ll always be Jacob’s Field in my mind). I decided that I didn’t want to pay the ridiculous “convenience fees” by ordering my tickets online so I made my way downtown to the Progressive Field box office on a VERY foggy day in downtown Cleveland. It was so foggy that it looked like a scene straight out of Silent Hill. Thanks to tweep @AmandaKrupitzer for the reference. I really do try not to… Continue reading
Another one straight out of the “I couldn’t make this shit up” file. We were headed out to my folks house for Sunday dinner last night. They live “out in the country” a ways so it’s pretty common to see animals (specifically deer) as we make our way to their house. As we crested over a hill, my wife pointed out that there was something up ahead crossing the street and told me to slow down (what would I ever do without her helping me drive?)
As were about a half mile away, we assumed it was deer. As I… Continue reading
I recently got a new Verizon iPhone 4 for work purposes so I’m officially out of the Blackberry nation. I have to say that I enjoyed my Blackberry but now that I’m used to it this iPhone is just SO… MUCH… BETTER. There are a ton of iPhone reviews out there so I won’t bother going into it here. The biggest upgrade that I see from my Curve 2 is the camera. This thing is epic and takes awesome pictures. Here’s a couple of my recent random shots… enjoy.
This is simply a shot of my shirtsleeve. I love this… Continue reading
So I was watching the Grammy Awards this evening a couple of days late wondering who the hell everyone was. I understand that I’m getting a bit older and I’ve never been all that “up” on pop music. However, I saw a dude that reminded me of something from my past…something that I’d tried to repress.
Koko.
This dude (who I’ve since learned is named Cee Lo Green) was out there doing a performance with a bunch of Muppets and Gweneth Paltrow. Not sure exactly how that came together, but that’s what it was.
And just so you don’t think… Continue reading
So Disney World has a pretty awesome thing these days called the PhotoPass. Essentially, they give you this card that you carry around the park with you and present to the Disney photographers when they take your picture. Then, when you get home, you can view all of the magical Disney pics that you’ve taken while you were there. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize just how cool this was (or really what it was) until we were on the way out of the park. So… we got just 1 picture from an “official” Disney photographer ($14.05 for a couple of 5×7′s… Continue reading
I reviewed recently the beginning of my vacation to Naples which didn’t start all that great. So now that I’ve had a couple of days to decompress here’s the blow by blow rundown of our vacation.
This is taken directly from the “couldn’t make this shit up if I tried” file…
Thursday: After a long day at work I was super excited to get down to Florida and see my wife and kids. Naturally, my flight was delayed 2 hours on the ground in Cleveland. Luckily I made friends with a whole slew of other folks making the same trip… Continue reading

The Overuse Of LOL
I apologize in advance to those that this will offend. The language contained within will not be nice nor will it be “suitable for work” or for a child’s ears (not that you’re reading this blog to your child – boy would that be cool). With that being said… STFU.
We live in world today where the vast majority of our interaction is digital. 140 character tweets, text message, status updates, etc. It only stands to reason that some of that digital communication will be done in short hand so that we don’t have to go through the laborious task… Continue reading →
