With the (not so) surprise return of Chris Jericho this past Monday on Raw it’s not time to try and figure out who he’s going to go into a program with going into WrestleMania. Jericho didn’t say a word the other night but conventional wisdom points to a CM Punk feud.
But what if that’s NOT who Jericho’s going after. What if it’s someone less… alive? The Undertaker perhaps?
Hear me out. I don’t typically do predictions seeing as the last couple of predictions (My Bound For Glory Picks and A Heel Turn For Cena) I’ve done haven’t… Continue reading
I started doing a yearly recap last year. During the past year, I’ve found myself referring to that post quite a few times so I figured I’d do it again this year. Got something you want me to cover in 2012? Drop me a line and I’ll see what I can do!
The Top 10 Posts Of 2011 (Based On Number Of Views)
#10 – Thoughts At 35 No matter how hard I try, I continue to get older. On this “milestone” birthday I decided to jot down a few musings.
I ran across this little gem the other day and it compelled me to write. Regardless of my social media banterings, I tend to be a little bit slow on the uptake on these sorts of “phenomenons”.
- I’d never heard of a Leap Pad until the wife told me I had to be at Target five mornings a week before 8:00 AM to get one.
- I’d never heard of The Elf On The Shelf until last year (Charlie in our house for those keeping track).
- I have no idea what Pinterest is or why I would want to use it.… Continue reading
I don’t do predictions all that often (at least out loud) but I think I’ve got one that’s worthy of sharing. For months now, WWE fans (or at least “smart” fans) have been shouting from the rooftops for John Cena to turn heel.
As we all know, he’s headed into WrestleMania 28 to face The Rock and there’s simply no way in hell that Cena’s going to be the babyface in that match. The WWE has essentially turned John Cena into this generation’s Hulk Hogan. Dude never loses clean, trains like a bad ass, sells merchandise and has… Continue reading
Monday was Cyber Monday and while I simply out and out refuse to do any shopping with the hordes on Black Friday I’m not necessarily opposed to letting my fingers do the shopping from the comfort of my couch.
I’m in need of a new laptop so the Wife was kind enough to find a couple of online deals. I’m not a gamer anymore so I’m essentially looking for a light, quick PC to do email, browse the web and do some web development. Best Buy had one and with my Best Buy credit card I could take 6 months… Continue reading
WrestleMania XXVIII (28 for you non-Roman numeral folks out there) will take place on April 1, 2012 in Miami, Florida. For the 7th time, Pip and I (and for the second year in a row, my brother Marko too!) will once again try to “walk that isle” and build… The Beeramid.
Since WWE announced it’s Mania main event the day after last year’s show (Rock vs. John Cena for those not paying attention), I figured we’d better get going and put together rules of engagement for the evening’s festivities.
This year, we’re starting something a bit different. Moving… Continue reading

I recently attended a get together with some of the fine folks from KillTheCan.org. The get together is a one per year celebration of our collective quitting of tobacco products. The phrase, “Eat, Drink and Be Merry” could have been coined by looking at this group.
It’s that time of year… Thanksgiving is almost here! It’s a time to give thanks, to see family and friends and to gorge yourself on way too much turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and that dish your aunt always brings that no one likes but they take a bit just to be nice.
We’re lucky enough to have both sides of our family close, and luckier still that everyone gets along Just as we did last year, everyone is getting together at my folks house and in addition to all the fixins, we’ll be doing 2 turkeys this year! Last… Continue reading
I have to admit that most of the time when I “go to the blog” to talk about some customer service experience it’s typically a bad experience.
- Empire Snow Removal – Solon, Ohio & Twinsburg, Ohio
- Not Worth The Paper It’s Printed On
- Mint.com FAIL
- This Just In – Verizon Makes Bad Decisions
- XM Radio – “I Wish I Knew How To Quit You.”
I’m happy to say that this isn’t one of those times.
I recently got a couple of overdraft charges on one of my business checking accounts at Fifth Third Bank. I don’t keep a ton… Continue reading

The Windstream / DISH Saga
I don’t know about you, but we don’t enjoy spending more money than we need to. Recently (after yet another rate increase notice – the 2nd this year) we finally got fed up with Time Warner and decided to make a switch. We were paying around $150 a month for our cable and Internet service through Time Warner… and that’s without any premium channels (HBO, Cinemax, etc.) Oh yeah, throw in another $15 a month for Vonage and we’re talking well over $175 a month for hundreds of channels that we never watched, and sub-standard (at best) Internet service.
Unfortunately,… Continue reading →
