The other night we were having some friends over for a cookout. Along with our boys, they would be bringing their two girls so the 8 of us sat around on the patio drinking (the adults) and playing (the kids). I’d prepared some flank steak, salmon (cause the wife won’t touch a piece of red meat), veggies, etc. to be grilled.
Earlier in the day I was preparing the flank and G asked me what we were having for dinner. I told him that we were having steak and he responded with another question (as he always does… I think… Continue reading
Don’t worry… this post contains no spoilers. I couldn’t spoil you if I wanted to.
The series finale of ABC’s Lost airs on Sunday evening and so (hopefully) does my confusion. I consider myself a Lost fan for sure, but I’m not a Lost geek. The distinction is minor, but one that’s important to make between fans. As an example, I have no problem sitting in a bar talking theories with my buddy Pat about who did what or what’s going to happen and I do listen to the Official Lost Podcast as well as The Lost Podcast With Jay… Continue reading
Tonight is the season finale of V on ABC and I’m thrilled to say that it’s just the season finale and not the SERIES finale. There was a time there where I was very worried that V would not be picked up for another season based on how it was doing in the ratings. Now that it has been picked up, the writers better make some serious changes if they want to get to a third season. Here are some suggestions from someone who was a HUGE fan of the original as well as this new incarnation.
- Show the damn… Continue reading
Last night the finale of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains aired on CBS and for the second time, Sandra Diaz-Twine was named the winner. Also for the second time, the best player in the history of the game came up short. I’ve watched every single episode in the 20 seasons of Survivor and I’m confident in saying that Russell Hantz is the best player ever. Period, end of story. The game’s tag line is “Outwit, Outlast, Outplay” and Russell does that better than anyone in history.
On the reunion show last night, Jeff Probst asked Sandra if since she was the… Continue reading
This is the ninth Jesse Stone novel written by Robert B. Parker. It was originally published in 2010 and was the first book published after the death of Dr. Parker.
NOTE: This review will contain spoilers.
Preceded By: Night And Day
PLOT SUMMARY:
This is essentially two stories in one novel, one of them being a Jesse Stone story and one of them being a Sunny Randall story. The Stone side of the story goes something like this. A mob shooter ends up dead in the trunk of his car in Paradise. After some investigation, Jesse and… Continue reading
It’s been a while since I’ve done any movie reviews. Hell it’s been a while since I’ve done any posting at all, but that’s another story. Since my last review, I’ve seen a couple of movies and I figured I’d put them in one nice little post. Enjoy!
The King Of Kong – A Fistful Of Quarters I actually saw this a while ago and just never got around to writing a post about it (damn real life getting in the way). This is a 2007 documentary that tells the story of two men (Steve Wiebe and Billy Mitchell) attempting… Continue reading

Time Warner FAIL
Last night was the series finale of Lost on ABC. We pulled together an impromptu viewing party (OK, so it was the in-laws, the wife and I, but that’s still a gathering dammit) and settled in to watch one of the most beautiful shows on TV come to an end. That is until Time Warner Cable got involved. The high definition feed was so bad that we eventually had to switch over to the regular feed. That was OK as we were able to watch the story unfold, but let’s be honest. Part of what makes Lost so visually stunning… Continue reading →
