I read fiction because I’m looking for an escape from real life.  For me there are a couple of types of fiction.  Some you know is nothing more than a fantasy (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc.)  The second type blurs the boundaries of reality and has you thinking “this could really happen”.  The Last Patriot fits firmly into the second category.  Thor does an amazing job blending his fiction with real life… so much so that you have a hard time deciding where the facts end and the story begins.

Every parent wants to give their child the best.  I live for my kids and there’s nothing better than me being able to bring a smile to their faces.  Unfortunately (for me) there are many times that I’m a bit too juvenile for my own good.  This is GREAT for connecting with the kids… not so great for ensuring that the wife and I are on the same page from a parenting perspective.
