This is the 4th entry in the Fast And The Furious movie franchise. For those of you not familiar with the series I’ll give you a brief recap of pretty much all the movies:
- Fast cars
- Beautiful women
- The “bad guys” are actually the “good guys”
- Fast cars
- A little plot
- Fast cars
- More women
- Fast cars
That’s pretty much it. If you’re looking for really deep movies here you’re not going to get them. If you’re looking for some bad ass action sequences that will put on you the edge of your seat then you’re in the right place.… Continue reading
BOOK DETAILS/INFORMATION:
This is the thirty-sixth (36) Spenser novel written by Robert B. Parker. It was originally published in 2008. Returning once again (for his third appearance) is Rugar (The Gray Man).
NOTE: This review will contain spoilers.
Preceded By: Now And Then
PLOT SUMMARY:
Spenser is hired to accompany professional gold digger Heidi Bradshaw to the wedding of her daughter. The wedding takes place at the incredibly posh (and secluded – wink wink nudge nudge) Tashtego Island which is only accessible via boat or helicopter. This is obviously a plot point that is flushed out rather quickly. Spenser… Continue reading
BOOK DETAIL/INFORMATION:
This is the third Spenser novel written by Robert B. Parker. It was originally published in 1975. Recurring character Patricia Utley makes her first appearance in this book.
Preceded By: God Save the Child Followed By: Promised Land
PLOT SUMMARY:
Spenser is back at it and has been hired by the Boston Red Sox to determine if their best pitcher (Marty Rabb) is throwing games… throwing them to the mob. Along the way (as he’s prone to do) Spenser pulls one thread and gets himself involved in a plot that is more than meets the eye. Spenser quickly… Continue reading
WrestleMania 25 is just recently in the books. It wasn’t great but there were a couple of REALLY good matches. WrestleMania weekend for me always means going back and reliving some of those great matches from past events. It’s rare that this list is modified, but thanks to the Dead Man and Mr. WrestleMania this year, it was. Honorable mentions and The Top Ten are listed in order of occurrence (oldest to newest). Keep in mind that this is MY list. I’m sure there are those out there that will put some others in their top ten – I’m an… Continue reading
We came… we saw… we kicked its ass!!!
Things were looking pretty harry there for while, but I’m happy to say that once again, Pip & I stood victorious over the structure that we refer to as the Beeramid. I’ll be honest with you, there was a time there when we thought we were in for a rough go of it. Then we realized that the base of the Beeramid was one too big… once we made that change we were good to go to the end. The show itself was pretty lackluster, but we had a damn fine… Continue reading
Pip, my brother and I got together and carried on our tradition of watching WrestleMania together. This was the 25th anniversary of the show so were expecting big things and a great show. What we got (with a couple of exceptions) was neither. Overall I’d have to say it was a pretty bad show with just a couple of high spots – certainly not what we were expecting from the biggest show of the year… and the 25th anniversary at that. I’ll take it one step further and say that the only thing that made this one watchable was that… Continue reading
This was the third Spider-Man film directed by Sam Raimi and it had the potential to be awesome. Unfortunately the potential was never realized. There are definitely some parts of this movie that are great – in fact there are some scenes in here that are by far my favorites of the Spider-Man “trilogy” but there are others that are pretty much unforgivable. Please note I’ll have MAJOR SPOILERS in this review. If you haven’t seen it and want to be surprised stop reading. You’ve been warned.
PLOT:
Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) finally got his shit in line. He’s working… Continue reading
